Mark Christensen is a multi-instrumentalist composer and performer. His main instruments are electric guitar (with a lot of electronic manipulation of the sound) and the Chapman Stick, a 12 stringed instrument with the range of guitar and bass that is played by tapping the strings.
Past projects include working as a composer for film and theatre and as producer and musician on CDs by Arty LaVigne, Courtney Brocks and the John Tower Group (of which he is a member) as well as his own forthcoming solo CD. He is also a founding member of Regional Science Fair and improvisational collaborations with Su Lian Tan, Keith Watts and Cyrus Chestnut and is now a current member of the improvising post-prog trio Stone Document.. Formerly from L.A. he is now living in Vermont and has in the last few years studied Guitar Craft with progressive rock pioneer Robert Fripp.
